Good List. I agree with every one. I would like to throw our hat into the ring. The JACK on 4823 W. National is my bar and we have only been open for 2 years, but our burger belongs on that list also. We are the closest Bar and resturaunt to Miller Park. Try our burger and I ganantee it will make this list.

I highly recommend Mezos on 27th & Oklahoma, across the street from Leon's. The burger are awesome. Fresh off the flat top. I hear they grind their own beef and it's never frozen. Simple and delicious, like a good buger should be.

Try out The Philly Way on S 2nd Street. They have Cheese Steaks of course, but I got a burger once, and I'll never get a Cheese Steak again. The burger was tremendous. No wonder its named The City's Best Burger (even listed that way on the menu!) I went once and was disappointed with the dryness of the patty, but only 1 bad burger in the dozen or so I've had there.

You missed an awesome south side institution. Nite Owl Drive-In and Ice Cream Parlour.

I've been eating Solly's burgers for over 50 years. There is no burger that can compare. Years ago, before going to the airport to take our children on a Disney cruise, we stopped at Solly's for lunch. After returning from a wonderful, fun 10 days at Disney World and the cruise, we asked our kids what their favorite part of the vacation was. They both agreed that it was eating at Solly's. Obviously, we could have saved a big chunk of money. Solly's is also the first stop when relatives come from out of town. Do NOT ask for easy on the butter. Butter is what makes the burger. Yum! I think I need another Solly's fix.

You should list all the 90+ restaurants that were in the running. A lot of the good ones talked about in my circle of foodies are not listed here...I am curious to know all the ones in the running. Good pictures, good descriptions.

firstly, thank you for your kind words about our burger. while we knew from the beginning we would serve large, aged cuts of beef; we also knew we wanted to remain a place where a fella could walk in, no reservation, sit at the bar and have a burger. i did receive your letter in the mail today and am interested in how eddie's would be involved. regards,
